Inspired by the #saveafghanwomen campaign launched by We Restart and Nove Caring Humans in 2021, this illustration is a call to action against the systematic denial of women's rights in Afghanistan.

Rebecca De Filippi created the artwork in response to the severe restrictions imposed on Afghan women and girls, recognising that the denial of their rights extends far beyond individual freedoms. It represents an attack on dignity, equality, education, work, and participation in society.

For Rebecca, creativity is not only a form of expression but also a form of advocacy.
