 You Would Not

You Would Not explores the power of empathy and the impact that words can have on the way we see others. Built around a simple yet thought-provoking question, the work encourages viewers to pause before making assumptions and to consider what life might feel like from another person's perspective.

Through a minimalist visual language, Costanza reminds us that understanding begins with listening and imagining. The artwork suggests that even ordinary conversations can challenge prejudice, change perspectives, and create opportunities for greater compassion.

Rather than offering answers, You Would Not invites reflection. It asks us where we would stand if we were walking in someone else's shoes, highlighting empathy as an essential step towards inclusion, respect, and shared humanity.

Costanza Cuocci is an Italian-Canadian artist, born in Milan in 2001. She graduated from the Umberto Boccioni Art High School, specialising in Graphic Arts, and is currently completing her studies in Decoration and Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome.

Through her artistic practice, Costanza explores communication, perception, and human relationships, creating works that encourage dialogue and reflection on contemporary social issues. Alongside her studies, she has contributed to a range of collaborative artistic projects, developing a multidisciplinary approach that combines visual research with meaningful storytelling.
